I am happy to report that among Grafton’s numerous advantages- the Country store, Ruggles Mine, the views, proximity to Boston and New York, the wide open spaces, friendly people; we also have the notable distinction of being the destination for the return of Christ.
That’s right, when Christ comes back to earth to save us, he will be in Grafton. He can’t miss it. In fact just as you enter the town, a landing strip has been erected to assist with his safe re-entry to our earthly plane. We have also thoughtfully constructed a depiction of his birth the last time he was here to remind him of his happy time. I am relieved to know that I will be so near to the savior upon his arrival. A mere 1.7 miles from my door- maybe I should offer him a place to sleep, lest he is made to sleep in a barn?
He will not be in society’s hub. He will not be in the original holy land. Nay, devout followers, he will be here, so pack your bags and set your sights on the new Mecca. The North Star won’t bring you here and no one will be able to give you directions, but we’ll be waiting- Christ and me!
