The pole barn

It’s been a long time since I’ve made an update; it’s time to get back in the habit. We had a whirlwind weekend finishing up one of our solar installations and our shed project. Here’s a picture of the shed and I’ll hopefully add some of the solar installs soon.

Drastic Measures PDF Print E-mail

Many people feel that our way of life, the move we made from Boston to the middle of nowhere is/was drastic. My mother-in-law and her husband still feel that visiting our home is camping. In most cases, the criticism of our way of living is said in the context of justifying their own environmentally friendly choices, “you don't have to go to such drastic measures to have a smaller 'footprint'. Dan's cell phone rang at 2 this morning; a somewhat brutal beginning to what I fear is going to be a long, horrible day. Yes-  it is Memorial Day, but there is no rest for the wicked and we, apparently, have fallen squarely in the wicked category.

Bullwinkle Our friends came to visit us last night and gave me quite a fright, as I'm sure I did to them. We met last spring when they were being "pursued" by a car down Turnpike Rd. It's difficult to tell from this picture, but their heads are as tall as me!

Also, please notice all the white stuff still on the ground and PITY US!!!
