These were the first and second generation PVRs from ReplayTV, both include lifetime subscription. The 2020 has dialup only, the 4040 supports network and has an analog jack as well. Amazon describes them as: ReplayTV 2020 Digital Video Recorder ReplayTV 4040 40-Hour Digital Video Recorder
