We were thrilled with the attendance tonight. The Town Hall was warm and everyone was kind and interested and had great questions. It was a lot of material to cover. In opening the evening with the potluck, Dan and I were able to slowly adjust to the number of people as they trickled in. 25 people is HUGE for Grafton, whose residents can rarely agree on anything. I was intimidated. I met a lot of new people who I'm looking forward to getting to know better and I saw a lot of old friends whose faces were a comfort to me, looking out on such a large crowd.

I think people were skeptical of our proposed project plan, looking for the holes. I can't say that I blame them. Our passion for renewable energy is very personal and difficult to explain in such a public forum. We expect high levels of professionalism in ourselves and we really want a refined installation process.  Money is not everything. The experience and actually DOING what we want to do is the value. I don't think I conveyed that well enough- so I'm suffering from the I-should-have-said's.

Ultimately, the evening validated in my own mind that we do know what we're doing and we have been working hard and this will happen. I've just been in my own head for too long, reading and questioning and hypothesizing. Exposed to the harsh light of the overhead projector, that all came out as knowledge. I'm so excited... now that I've slept.
