The Wicked
Written by Elaina R. Bergamini

Dan's cell phone rang at 2 this morning; a somewhat brutal beginning to what I fear is going to be a long, horrible day. Yes-  it is Memorial Day, but there is no rest for the wicked and we, apparently, have fallen squarely in the wicked category.

Amma – In Memory of Barbara A. Gullage – Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother
Written by Daniel A. Bergamini
Thursday, 03 April 2008
I lost my Grandmother on my Mother’s side April 3rd 2008, Barbara Gullage.  I was the youngest grand-child in the family and when they tried to teach me to say Gramma and Grampa, I could only ever come out with Amma and Papa. Well, it stuck and that is what they were called by most in the family. I’m going to try and get a picture gallery setup, but until I can I felt the need to put something up. There was a recording she made before her 70th birthday and we were able to capture her funeral service.

Bullwinkle Our friends came to visit us last night and gave me quite a fright, as I'm sure I did to them. We met last spring when they were being "pursued" by a car down Turnpike Rd. It's difficult to tell from this picture, but their heads are as tall as me!

Also, please notice all the white stuff still on the ground and PITY US!!!

I am tired of winter. Although the calendar boasts spring, the outdoors
looks nothing like it. We got another 4 or 5 inches of fresh powder on
Friday. "Fresh powder" makes it sound like something positive. It was just
another blow for me. The driveway was almost clear of snow. The piles were
working their way down the garden fence. This is demoralizing.

I had to write the following for a couple reasons and rather than let it get lost in my increasing number of unfinished articles, I thought it might be nice to share... because sharing is caring. Do you know what your footprint is? Check it out at www.rprogress.org - click on the link on the left. Happy New Year everyone!

Yankee E-card greeting photo by ElainaWell, fall is here and it has been beautiful. I'm working on a number of posts to catch up on all the goings on, but Elaina just sent me this link and I wanted to get it out. Life is going well and we're still alive, just too busy for more frequent updates. (Click on the image to go to the yankeemagazine.com page.)

Not as colorful in the summer

Summer solar panels and Mt. CardiganJust thought I would post something to compare against to show how brilliant the colors are. Clearly this was before the grass really took and it's a little different angle.
